AFRIKAPLUS is a multipurpose platform dedicated to entertainment and commerce. This app is a one-stop shop for everything Entertainment from music, to video, DJ mix, albums, movies, events tickets, as well as ecommerce, and Inside Africa. The main aim of this project is to create a platform that serves multiple entertainment and social needs within one interface.

Goal
To bring entertainment creatives and entertainment consumers together within a click of a button, as well as the creation of a platform where the exchange of intellectual craft will generate profits for the creatives.
Objectives
This platform bridges the gap between creatives such as video directors, music artistes, event planners, etc, and entertainment lovers. On AfrikaPlus, music creatives, filmmakers, DJs, skit makers, event planners, etc. can upload their content while the users of this platform can easily stream the songs and video content. Here, creatives can monetize their craft through sales of music and video content to consumers who add these songs and videos to their playlist through an account created on the platform.
Event planners can also create information and promote upcoming events on the AfrikaPlus platform, ticket sales and resale can be done on the Event segment of the platform.

Throughout these 8 weeks, my team and I divided our research and design process into three primary categories:

With the growth of Afrobeats as a music genre globally, the world is surely watching Africa, hence this App which showcases African creatives and their content to the world.
We identified that the age demography between 15-65 consumes more entertainment content, this information was instrumental in the creation of this App. The user-friendly interface was created with urban teenagers and adults at heart. The research made on existing platforms which serve similar purposes showed the loopholes which exist in this technological field, hence this offering which is all-encompassing in the area of entertainment, shows, and social interactions.
Visual design
With a set strategy, I went into the next stage: ‘sprint 0’. Throughout this project, I worked with two-weekly sprints, and in this first ‘pre’ sprint, I solely focused on the visual language. The client wanted a clean, easy to use, and modern website that would position the brand for the next generation of users.
